Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.
USCCA’s “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” is a welcoming and engaging training guide created by a woman for women who are seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills.
With three distinct modules:
These courses are designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting. Basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon, while also exploring situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, malfunctions, firearms handling skills, defensive pistol fundamentals, and the use of deadly force. Whether you’ve never touched a firearm, you’re looking for the next steps in your training, or you’ve chosen to learn about the skills, tools, and mindset needed to use firearms for self-defense, you can be prepared to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.
Mass shootings have become all too familiar today and that is unacceptable. This course is designed to give us the information and data to identify, reduce, control, and then eliminate these incidents. Who should attend? School staffers, administration, teachers, volunteers, etc. Church leaders, security, and parishioners. Parents, grandparents, and students. Anyone concerned about this type of event. Instead of "hopes and prayers" you can have "Action and Solutions" In this course, you will analyze data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine to determine what can learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. You will also determine whether gun-free zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether universal background checks or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings. At the end, you'll be able to use this data and develop a comprehensive plan designed to eliminate the scourge of these shooters once and for all. This course will give you answers and a course of action.
This class is a USCCA Mini Class designed to discuss the principles of the legal use of force. These classes function like a workshop and will be more casual in nature as we cover the course content and discuss the topics included.
The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.
Would you know what to do if you were deep in the wilderness, and a hunting companion sustained a penetrating chest wound from an errant round? Could you prolong the life of a loved one long enough for the ambulance to arrive, if he or she had sustained a lacerated artery from a violent attacker armed with a knife?
While most Americans are comfortable dealing with the cuts and scrapes of everyday life, and tens of thousands have learned the Heimlich maneuver and CPR, most individuals would be a bit less comfortable dealing with severe, life threatening injuries or illnesses when seconds count, and EMS personnel and the emergency room are minutes (or longer) away.
In the training course, Emergency First Aid Fundamentals, you’ll learn to not only understand the proper way to assess a patient, but you’ll also learn in detail the proper way to deal with significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, spinal injuries, broken bones, and more.
While it might seem unrealistic to translate what professional EMTs and paramedics are able to do in an emergency versus the things that nonprofessionals would be capable of, but in life threatening medical and traumatic emergencies, it all boils down to the same thing — sustaining the life of the patient until he or she can be delivered to the emergency room. If you’re ready to become your family’s first responder in all emergency situations, this training cannot be missed. During this training, you’ll do more than simply sit in a classroom learning about these topics, your USCCA Instructor will work you through a dozen real world scenarios using simulated patients and the actual products (or field expedients) that you’ll need to understand if you hope to save a life.
In this mini class, we discuss creating a training program involving dry-firing, fundamental drills and speed vs accuracy drills. We also cover drawing from a holster and will have hands-on pistol and other dry-fire training.
Several basic and advanced skills designed to take your skill level beyond the building blocks and dramatically elevate your speed, accuracy, and enjoyment at the range.
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will guide you through the steps you will need to take to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You will get your body working with your gun instead of against it, you’ll learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under stress in a combat situation, and you will learn to apply this information simply and effectively – regardless of your skill level.
What You Will Receive:
Upon registration, the student will need to contact USCCA at 877-577-4800 to purchase access to the eLearning module ($30) and will be shipped the DSF-L1 book. The student can then complete the eLearning at home at their own pace prior to the live fire exercises. (The eLearning needs to be done prior to class).
DSF Level II builds on the skills taught in the Level 1 course. Take your defensive pistol skills to the next level and be prepared to defend yourself and your loved ones in a dynamic critical incident.
Building on the skills introduced in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level I: Training Your Mind and Body to Respond. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level II. Training for Real-Life Scenarios guides the serious defensive shooter through the necessary skill-building drills and techniques that can make the difference between living or dying and, equally important simply living and truly prevailing.
